PROJECT PORTFOLIO
Art and Archaeology Museum of Vale do CÔA
Completion date: September 2009

Projected, developed and executed in partnership with the responsible Company, this project consisted in the lighting of pictures that depict the Pre-Historic drawings of the Valley of the river Côa, resorting to LED lighting boxes. In a fully innovative way, all the pictures are lighted in boxes built in and Aluminum profile, with 925x516mm, illuminated using exclusively SMD LEDS with a strong glow in a “Cool” white color. These boxes were then engraved in the museum walls, connected between them, the result of which can be see on the images present in the PORTFÓLIO.

It was also developed a second model, this one also made in 921x516mm, but it was to be applied on the horizontal, above which would be placed fossils and other objects collected from the Valley of the river Côa, protected by an acrylic screen which blocks the direct access to them. This box also has 4 elastic nails with a 1W LED in the end that allows the direct illumination of the objects to be placed there.
